Domain utama dan semua sub domain co.cc tidak bisa diakses. Setidaknya ini terlihat mulai 18 November 2012. Namun pada sekitar seminggu sebelumnya saya sempat melihat pesan di domain co.cc bahawa domain co.cc tidak bisa melayani pendaftaran domain baru lain. Namun waktu itu saya masih sempat bisa me-manage sub-domain-domain yang saya miliki di co.cc. Saya sendiri memang sudah lama “meninggalkan” sub domain co.cc sudah tidak saya gunakan lagi.
Ini adalah kejadian yang kesekian kalinya pada domain co.cc. Kejadian sebelumnay yang sempat menghebohkan adalah co.cc dan semua subdomain de-index dari Google.
Menurut YES NIC (yesnic.com) tempat domain co.cc didaftarkan. Domain utama co.cc didaftarkan pertama kali pada 13 Oktober 1997. Saat ini domain belum hangus (expire), ini terlihat bahwa domain ini harusnya masih aktif hingga 2020.

Ada 2 hal yang menarik menurut saya yang bisa di lihatd ari informasi Whois ini.
- Domain co.cc sama sekali tidak mengarahkan Name server ke Hosting tertertentu. Ini menyebabkan doian utama dan semua sub domain yang terdaftar ke co.cc tidak bisa diakses karena tidak ada informasi DNS.
- Dari Status domain : Status clientHold.
Pada kejian kedua tentang clientHold saya dapatkan pengertian sebagai berikut dari sebuah forum :
Actually what it means is that the domain is suspended (often for legal or compliance reasons). The domains is removed from the zone files and has no authoritative name servers. Therefore it stops functionning. If it expires, it could then drop the ordinary way but the situation could drag on for a long time. Legal or compliance issues may include, but not limited, to:
- Violating any term of your registrar’s registration agreement such as invalid WHOIS, using the domain name for phishing, billing disputes, etc.
- Court order. And yes, the owner can renew the domain name. S/he just can’t modify anyof the domain name’s registration record (e.g. transfer ownership, change any contact details, etc.).
Kemungkinan domain (atau Sub Domain) tersebut di suspended (ditangguhkan) karena digunakan untuk tidakan Ilegal. Cukup banyak jenis tidakan ilegal yang mungkin terjadi.
Belum ada keterangan Resmi di FB facebook.com/FreeDomain.co.cc namun pengguna nampaknya mulai khawatir domain mereka dimungkina tidak akan kembali lagi.
Saya menggunakan subdomain .co.cc untuk coba2 elajar bikin web pakai hosting yang gratis pula.. memang gak mengejutkan hal seperti ini terjadi pada sesuatu yang gratisan…
sampai kapan biasanya, aktif lagi dan apakah perlu alamat domain blog saya dipindahkan dulu ? minta info nya _ thanks
